This week we have been coming up with ideas for our senior projects. At first, it was kind of hard to come up with a subject that will be good for the community and worth people to listen. After Mr. Schoenborn helped by giving us key factors to look for when searching for a senior project it became easy to grasp. He told us to think of something outside the box, to try and do something someone else hasn't already done. Yet, the project needs to be able to connect with the community around us and needs to make sense. So I came up with the idea to use my bestie Corinne Bass as the main character of my group and I's project. We came up with a bunch of ideas that include her to be somewhat part of this year's graduating class without physically being there. So far so good I think, Mr. Platte seems to love the different ideas we have to offer. He is way more ecstatic about this whole process than we are. Hopefully all our ideas will turn out successfully and won't cause any problems on the day of graduation.

This past week the main ideas for this class were to connect ourselves with out big question we had come up with. My partners and I came up with the question "Is a human's resilience endless?" Our answer to that is that everyone is different. They audience will interpret what they think of it. Another thing we have learned this past week was how to understand and use Cornell Notes. Cornell notes help you break down key terms and ideas from the certain video, book, essay, poem etc, that you have read. Using this helps you to better understand what you are learning about . Some of the activities and/or experiments we did in class that went along with the ideas, were the readings of one of the stories from "Ten Little Indians." I had chosen the story "Flight Patterns," which consisted of a guy named William who was strong at heart. I believe William had a ton of resilience, because in order to have it you need to have the strength to overcome. So he did, he had the strength to commit himself to his job and fly out to go work, even though his wife and daughter did not approve of it. He went anyway, so that he could provide for his family bring home money so they can had food and clothing. That's what I enjoyed about William. I believe that my participation in this weeks learning process has been pretty fair. I participated way more this week than the first two. I would rate my understanding of all these ideas a 7/10, because there is still more i can learn.
The main ideas we were learning this week were the aspects of identity. Such as personality, strength, where we came from, who we portray to be. All of these characteristics a part of your identity as a person, your personality is different from everybody elses'. I believe that nobody in this Earth has the same personality as you, they might have similar, but not the same. Your strength is part of your identity, because it determines how well you can handle things in life. You may have the strength to tell someone that what they did wasn't respectful, or you might not. Where we came from is strongly a part of our identity, because it defines where we came from. Everyone has a different past that each other, some could have been good and others could not have been. Those with the pasts they wish they never had may someday have the strength to overcome them. They will have the courage and responsibility to break through their closed doors and defend for themselves for the better of themselves. The activities we have done for these ideas in class, were the writings of our "Where I From," poems. Each person had the opportunity to jot down how they came to be. Another way was the sticky notes, where my classmates and I jot down words that had the meaning of strength to us. I don't necessarily have anymore questions about what we have learned this week, because all my questions were answered. I think my participation in this week has been well. I have finished everything I was assigned to do. I would rate my understanding by the ideas given in class this week an 9/10. Honestly, for right now I'm not sure what I need to work on until we get another participation assignment handed to us.
